God has blessed Pastor James Wesly Dieujuste in countless ways. Born in Haiti to Seventh-day Adventist parents, he counts it a privilege to have received a Christian Adventist education. At the age of eleven, Pastor Dieujuste immigrated to the United States and joined the Temple Salem Seventh-day Adventist Church where he was baptized. There he served in several leadership capacities, including Sabbath School, Youth and Young Adult Ministries, the Deacon Department and as Head Elder.
Pastor Dieujuste attended Boston University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems. While in Massachusetts, Pastor Dieujuste worked in the real estate and investment management fields. Feeling unfulfilled in all these roles, he prayed to God to reveal His will for his life. In a very specific way, God answered his prayer and directed him toward pastoral ministry. Determined to follow God’s leading, Pastor Dieujuste left the business world and moved with his family to attend the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. While in the seminary, Pastor Dieujuste worked with the Praise Fellowship church in South Bend, Indiana.
In August 2010, Pastor Dieujuste received a Master of Divinity degree from Andrews University and subsequently received a call to work with the Lake Region Conference to be the pastor of the Bethel and Summit churches in Lansing and Jackson, Michigan. The Lord blessed his ministry there. By God’s grace, the churches grew in faith and numbers and Pastor Dieujuste facilitated the building expansion of the Summit church. Pastor Dieujuste was then transferred to the Franco-Haitian district in Illinois and served as the pastor of Bethlehem, Sion, and Nouvelle Jerusalem, where he ministered for over five years. God again blessed his ministry there in countless ways. While serving as a Pastor in Lake Region, Pastor Dieujuste was elected twice to serve on the conference executive committee and as a member of its finance team. He also served as the Franco-Haitian ministries coordinator.
In June 2014, Pastor Dieujuste was ordained into the gospel ministry. In 2018, he received a second Master’s degree in Religion with a concentration in Theological Studies from Andrews University. In March 2023, Pastor Dieujuste will complete a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Business Administration from the University of Montemorelos in Nuevo León, Mexico. He is a prolific writer and contributing author to the devotional book, The Power of Praying Together in Unity.
After working in the Lake Region Conference for several years, Pastor Dieujuste felt God's call to return to the Northeast area. Upon his return to Massachusetts, he worked as a teacher at the Berea Seventh-day Adventist Academy for one year. He was then called into full-time pastoral ministry to work as the Associate Pastor of Temple Salem, a bilingual church with two services and over 1,000 members. While serving at Temple Salem Church, Pastor Dieujuste was called to serve as the interim pastor of the Galilée and Macédoine Franco-Haitian church district in Massachusetts. Pastor Dieujuste is currently serving as the pastor of the Bridgeport Tabernacle Church, in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Pastor Dieujuste has been happily married for 20 years to Dr. Slandie Dieujuste. Dr. Slandie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Black History, a Master and Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration. She currently works as the Vice President of Student Affairs at Springfield College and a member of its faculty. They are the joyful parents of two sons, Nathaniel, 16 and Gabriel, 8.
Pastor Dieujuste loves the Lord and is committed to serving Him all the days of his life. He believes that Jesus’ Second Coming is very near and he desires to be personally ready to meet Him and to help others do the same.
